Review: Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum
I haven't seen too many reviews or any hype about this particular eye liner, so it wasn't amongst the top items on my list to purchase. Instead, for Christmas I decided to throw it onto my wishlist just to include a few items under $20 that I was interested in. Low and behold, I got the Physicians Formula Ultra Black as apart of my gift. I wasn't eager to give it a try, as I've been so loyal to my Maybelline New York Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner since I discovered liquid eyeliner back in high school. I've always ventured off and tried new drugstore liquid liners like the Maybelline Lash Stiletto, L'Oreal Lineur Intense felt tip liquid liner or the Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner and not to mention a few gel liners, but I've never quite found anything that I absolutely loved as much as my good old Maybelline New York Waterproof Liquid Liner. The liquid eyeliner is thick liquid and a firm felt tip applicator allows easy control.
It wasn't until I decided to give the Physicians Formula liquid liner a chance that I realized this is the liquid liner I've been waiting for! I can't say enough how much I am in love with this product. I've never really given Physicians Formula cosmetics a try besides their Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Loose Powder and I was quick to throw that aside. But this eyeliner is AMAZING! As much as I loved that Maybelline liquid liner, I always found my eyeliner smudged in the inner corners of my eyes towards the middle of the day; that was the one faux paux with that liner, but I sucked it up and stuck to it because it was still overall a great liner. My main issue is that my eyelids tend to get really oily which causes the smudging, so I just figured there wouldn't be anything out there that would do the job better than it. Boy was I wrong.
Pros
-Tip has thin, pointed bristles for lining the eyes, especially for winged or cat eyes
-Line is always thin, crisp and very dark
-Silver packaging is nice and sleek
-Long-lasting, all day wear with no smudging
-Easy to take off
I can't really say I have any cons for this product yet. I'm going on a week using this liquid liner specifically to try out and the outcome just blew me by surprise. I didn't think it would replace the Maybelline liquid liner so easily.
As for the eyelash boosting serum, I definitely haven't noticed a difference in a week so I can't comment on that factor. I'll have to keep you updated with the outcome in a few months.
Have you tried the Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum?

Review: Maybelline Baby Lips
These are not heavily pigmented lip balms, but they do add a wash of colour to your lips. They glide on nice and smooth, providing a good amount of moisture to the lips. Pink Punch is very pigmented, almost similar to a bubble gum pink. Cherry Me is not pigmented as I thought it would be. It adds a touch of red to the lips. It gives a bit of life and lift to your lips without being overpowering like a lipstick would be.
It could be because of the winter season in Canada that my lips are more dry than usual, but it doesn't provide me personally with the 8 hour moisture and renewal as advertised. I wouldn't essentially replace my regular lip balm or chap sticks with Baby Lips, but I do like it for the sheer wash of colour and smooth effortless application. For $5.50, I don't think I'll be running out to purchase a few more just yet.
Do you already own any Baby Lips lip balms?
What shades do you own and how do you like them?

Happy 2012!
I'm a little sad that the holidays are over, life as we know it is back to normal. I think I was a good girl this year when it came to post-christmas sales. I kept myself away from the malls and online sites! I did manage to pick up a few casual-wear items though. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there, but I've got a room full of clothes yet I often find myself searching for something to wear. I am in the process of moving in the next couple of months, so one of my resolutions this year will be to reorganize my closet, get rid of some unneccessary items. My main shopping resolution from 2011 that will continue on to 2012, is to purchase key essential items that will be versatile for all occasions. I have a habit of buying one-time only outfits especially dresses. Enough about my bad habits...
I dropped into Garage Clothing, which is a Montreal based company in Canada earlier this week. I don't particularly shop at this chain on a regular basis, but I drop in from time to time for some great deals. I find most of their items quite pricey for what they essentially offer, especially since they generally cater to young tweens and teens. I'm far from my teens, but I do find some of their items great for casual wear.
I've had my eye on this flannel plaid button up for quite some time, but I couldn't find myself paying the original $35 price tag. Yea, I know its not that expensive but for such a casual, not so versatile shirt I didn't think it was worth it and I could've bought something better for the same price. I scored it for $20 on sale! I'm glad I waited. I haven't had a chance to wear it yet, but I think it would look great with a pair of dark skinny jeans and cognac coloured flat knee-high boots. I'll post pictures when I put this look together.
I also picked up a couple pairs of skinny jeans, this one in a dark blue wash, the other in a blue black wash. At $15 each, I couldn't resist. A girl can't have too many pairs of jeans, can she? I admit, I love the feel and fit of my designer jeans (Rock & Republic/True Religion) but at such high price tags, one cannot afford so many pairs. I love the fit of these skinny jeans, they are very comfortable and the length is just perfect. These are perfect to either dress up or down.
They were having a buy one get one half off sale on their belts. I picked up two of these, one in cognac, the other in brown. Both were already on sale for $6 each, so I got the other for ONLY $3! How can you go wrong?

Post-New Years Shopping
After a short, yet much needed days off from the holiday I celebrated going back to work by visiting the mall after work today. My first stop was at H&M, and I was not disappointed! In the past I've often picked up beautiful evening, formal dresses for a steal and today was no different. But before we get to that, I also picked up the ever so popular in blogging/YouTube world faux leather leggings with stretch panelling along the sides. I've been searching my local H&M for a few weeks, and today was my day! I couldn't resist myself when they finally had my size and it was the last one in stock. It's meant to be.
This beautiful knee-length, knotted sweetheart neckline dress was a steal at $30! I couldn't decide between which colour I wanted, because I absolutely love pink! I'm such a girl, but besides that I love pops of colour. I couldn't leave with both, so sadly I let go of the hot pink and left with the grey. I love love love this dress. It looks absolutely beautiful on, the fit, the colour - everything is perfect. I can't wait to find an occasion to slip this on.
